As I posted a few days ago, I was joining up with Michele from A Small Victory as part of her alliance to raise money for The Spirit of America's drive to provide funds for a TV station in Iraq to answer the Al-Jazeera propaganda. Well, Michele has abdicated as the leader of our humble bunch. Have no fear, Kevin at Wizbang has taken over command of the The Victory Coalition.
I noted in my previous post, that I think the most valid criticism of the adminstration is the failure to provide an adequate response to the terror-sympathizing media outlets in the region. Well, here's a way to begin to change that. Since the beginning of this war, critics (i.e. Tom Friedman) have complained that Bush has failed to ask us to make any sacrifices. I think it's a reasonable point, but 2004 isn't 1942, so the kinds of sacrifices we can make are different than that of our grandparents.
Donating, $10, $25, $50 bucks to Spirit of America is obviously not a "sacrifice" but it is a good cause and one that I'd ask anyone who reads this to make if they can. The drive will end on April 28th. To donate, enter this page at the Spirit of America site. Thanks.
For more on the cause, read this piece in the Wall St. Journal about Spirit of America.
I've also added the new sidebar on the right with the other members of The Victory Coalition.
